What is a green tariff
What is Green Electricity Tariff
As we get closer to Europe, we are gradually starting to think about how to save what we already have, as well as how to save on energy resources. For example, for Ukraine, solar panels, or as they are also called private solar power plants, are a relative novelty on the market. Yes, more and more often you can see these batteries on the roofs of private houses, or even entire fields. Nevertheless, the question arises whether it is legal and profitable? And the "green tariff" for electricity will help to reveal this issue. What is it?

This is a
fairly good opportunity for individuals and legal entities to create, use for
their own purposes and sell electric energy, or rather, its remainder, to the
state. In other words, yes, it is under the control of the state, and by
purchasing solar panels, they are immediately installed and fall under the "Green
Tariff" for electricity.
For
example, a purchased and installed solar panel system with a certain capacity
more than covers the needs of home ownership, and even has a surplus.
Accordingly, this "surplus" is sold and enters the network at a set
rate. It is not necessary, of course, to install specifically solar panels, it
is enough to purchase devices for generating energy from wind, geothermal, and
hydro resources. But for the average Ukrainian, solar panels are cheaper.
According
to the letter of the law, all equipment must undergo compulsory certification,
have a capacity of no more than 30 kW, and the law is valid until 2030
(described in more detail here). According to the tariffs, you can receive
income in the amount of 0.14-0.19 euros per 1 kW, depending on the year of
validity. The only limitation that is likely to be encountered is where the
station will be installed.
Since there
is no “green tariff” connection for electricity for people wishing to install
it in an apartment building. There is a certain procedure (how to issue a green
electricity tariff): purchasing equipment, opening a bank account, contacting
the appropriate company that provides electricity, and, as a result, a purchase
and sale agreement.
Taking into
account the constant price increases for this kind of services, it will be
quite profitable for Ukraine, given that these are almost the highest tariffs
in the world. Yes, you need to have initially a solid amount for the purchase,
so that you can "beat off" it as soon as possible and earn money.
However, having your own energy source and not depending on the state is a
great idea!
